Donations for families of Esperanza Fire victims

    • Make checks payable to and mail to Wildland Firefighter Foundation Engine 57, 2049 Airport Way, Boise, Idaho 83705 or visit http://www.wffoundation.org/

    • The Forest Service Volunteer Association has established a relief fund in honor of the Forest Service firefighters who tragically lost their lives protecting on Oct. 26, 2006 during the Esperanza Fire. Contributions may be delivered to Idyllwild Ranger Station, 54270 Pine Crest Ave., Idyllwild. Make checks payable to The Esperanza Fire Relief Fund, c/o Forest Service Volunteer Association, P.O. Box 394, Idyllwild, CA 92549.

    • Riverside County has a fund to help the families of firefighters who were killed fighting the fire. Make checks payable to the Esperanza Firefighters Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 1645, Riverside, CA 92502-1645. For more information, call Ray Smith at (951) 955-1130.

    • Los Angeles Firemen’s Credit Union (LAFCU) has established a fund to benefit the families of fallen firefighters in the Esperanza Fire. Donations to the fund may be made by sending a check payable to Esperanza Fallen Firefighters Fund, c/o Los Angeles Firemen’s Credit Union, P.O. Box 60890, Los Angeles, CA 90060-0890 or by calling 1-800-231-1626, Ext. 2390.
